Toyota firstly launched this model in 2012 in Pakistani market, because there is a huge liking of Toyota in the Pakistani market it was a huge success but its resale is on the down side because the consumers thought it was under power today we will be taking about the second generation of Toyota fortuner.

Exterior

Starting from the body or the shape of this car it is an SUV with chrome front grills the headlights have a daylight running feature which gives it a luxurious touch it’s got led rear lights it has got 18inch aluminium wheels and has a spoiler and a shark fin antina.

Interior:

 Toyota fortuner. come with  push to start technology what it has got is an optitron Speedometer with 4.2 inch TFT display since we’re talking about the interior it is of the premium quality the dashboard is leather it has two glove compartment and comes with an 8inch infotainment system which has rear cam Bluetooth voice commands and much more it also has dual air conditioning with automatic climate control and has electronic 4x4 transmission it comes with two driving modes eco mode and power mode its a spacious car with a lot of legroom and headroom and sitting capacity of 8 people which decreases its trunk capacity.

It comes with 3 air bags Toyota have very much improved the comfort level of this second generation fortuner moving on to the engine it has got a 2.7 litre dual VVT-i 2 TR-FE engine which basically means 164 Hp and gives 7 km / litre making it a really favourable option for those looking for a family car with spacious cabin.

What makes this car so unique is produce people who cannot afford the Lexus orparado and those people who do not have the price range of more than one 100 million they can easily get this car for a rupees 50,000,000 it does not have a v8 engine.

 what it does have is a premium touch off luxury and comfort it’s a very good car for long route as well as off road This car is a direct competitor off Kia Sportage since Sportage does not have a fully grown market in Pakistan which Toyota does gives the fortuner the competitive edge this car has been showing a lot of potentials for the past couple of years and is expected to grow more in the future.

Our verdict

what Toyota needs to do right now is to enhance the features of this model in order to sustain otherwise it would be left behind this car also comes in a 2.8 litre diesel engine which is highly recommended by the users because it gives them more power and the car is more responsive to the throttle the price is a little higher than the petrol model but the fuel economy is very much better than the previous one since this car is an SUV it has a lot of ground clearance end the suspension is very good in a nutshell we can say that it’s a very feasible car for those who are living in the upper middle class off Pakistan and are looking to buy a family car.
