Suzuki Mehran Car Review :Cheap and Reliable

 

Overview

Suzuki Mehran is considered as the redesigned version of Suzuki Alto which was introduced as a replacement of Suzuki FX. Suzuki Mehran car was initially launched as Mehran VX/VXR back in 1989. The starting price of Suzuki Mehran car was 90,000 PKR.

The Suzuki Mehran holds the engine power of 800cc and have very basic components which makes it easier and convenient for the buyer to maintain. Every person dreamt of having a car and Suzuki Mehran was contemplated as the ideal car at that time but with the passage of time the quality has been compromised over the past few years and the price against the value has been very high.

The cars around the world are more equipped with the latest technology and gadgets, the car manufacturers focus on the customer safety and comfort features. Now a days cars are environmentally friendly. They consume less fuel and are packed with modern technology, but the Suzuki Mehran car lacks all of these features.

In Suzuki Mehran car, there are no other safety measures like Air Bag System, Cruise Control nevertheless, it has only basic seat-belt feature which ultimately saves one from getting token from traffic sergeant. Other than that Suzuki Mehran doesn’t have any airbags, ABS brakes or collision protections. This makes the car most unsafe vehicle on the road. In 31 years, the only change that appeared to occur in Mehran was the EFI engine; the only technology advancement, along with a little change in the headlights and front bumpers. 

The production of the vehicle was stopped in 2019 and in replacement to Suzuki Mehran, Suzuki Alto was introduced. The model have been very famous since 1989 still people prefer it because of its easy maintenance and cheaper spare parts ,still a reliable car ignoring the safety features.

Exterior

Suzuki Mehran 2019 exterior is still the same as the one launched in 1989 with a little changes on the front gill and the front bumpers. Suzuki Mehran car is called by standard hatchback car. It comes with black bumpers however, VXR version bumpers are matched with color of the body and the rims are covered with wheel cups and one can change the basic rims into alloy rims. The design of Suzuki Mehran car is very simple. The company has not changed the exterior of the car since 1989.

 Interior

The Suzuki Mehran car 2019 interior doesn’t have much options as compared to the latest cars in the market. The entire interior is made out of solid plastic that can be broken down with a punch. The interior is very simply designed as many aspects of the car which are left exposed even the wiring beneath the steering wheel.The entire interior is manual form doors to window handles. Suzuki Mehran lacks very basic features no central locking is included, nor steering adjustment or rear seat belts. The standard Mehran VX consist of only heater and the Mehran VXR comes with air conditioning, which doesn’t work properly. The interior lacks in many features seats are not even comfortable

Our opinion

Suzuki Mehran is the cheapest vehicle in the Pakistan market, it is the best car for driving in cities of Pakistan where the roads are very busy, this car can make it way around it. Among all its very reliable the entire car spare parts can be obtained from anywhere around Pakistan. From east to west north to south Suzuki Mehran will take you anywhere, though it lacks almost feature but this box on four wheels is still the Boss of the Roads.
